2009 - 2010 Service Team 

 

    Service Unit Manager:   Brenda Lyons

   The Service Unit Manager oversees all operations of the Service Unit

    so that the Girl Scout Program can be delivered within her jurisdiction. 

    She develops and implements a yearly plan of work for the SU and

    plans and conducts regular meetings of the adult volunteers and service team.

 

    Registrar:   Alison McHenry

    The Registrar registers the SU’s girl and adult members, files the needed

    paperwork with Council, and maintains a membership tracking system.

 

    Outdoor Program Consultant:     Terri Mullikin

    The Outdoor Program Consultant helps prepare troops for camping, promotes

    Council sponsored outdoor programs, and reviews trip/camping applications.

 

    Cookie Sales Manager:       Heather Clark     

    The Cookie Sales Manager oversees all aspects of the Cookie Sales

    program.  She conducts training on the SU level, orders and distributes cookies

    to troops, maintains inventory of cookies throughout the sale period,

    and files troop paperwork with the Council.

 

    Cookie Booth Coordinator:       Karen Skipper

    To serve as organizer and coordinator for all cookie booths conducted within the Service Unit.

 

    Cookie Cupboard Coordinator:      Brenda Lyons

    To serve as supplier of additional cookies for troops in the Service Unit.

 

    Fall Product Sale Managers:    Karen Skipper and Alison McHenry

    The Fall Product Sales Manager oversees all aspects of the Fall Product Sale

    program.  She conducts training on the SU level, orders and distributes the product

    to troops, and files troop paperwork with the Council. 

 

    Troop Organizer:   Beth Pierce

    The Troop Organizer recruits leaders, organizes new troops, and places girls in troops.

 

    Public Relations Representative:   Sherrie Hill 

    The PR Representative is the local contact person to promote Girl Scouting to local

    media.  She provides information about troop and SU activities to local media

    and Council publications, and ensures that the Girl Scout message is communicated

    clearly and consistently.

 

    Adult Recognitions Coordinator:  

    The Adult Recognitions Coordinator maintains accurate records of training hours

    and awards, and ensures that volunteers are recognized for their contributions at

    both the SU level and Council level when appropriate. 

 

    Auditor:   Betsy Wooten

    The Auditor ensures appropriate documentation of all SU and troop funds. 

    She instructs leaders on filling out and maintaining Detailed Cash Records

    (DCRs) and files a summary of troop and SU finances with the Council.

 

    Family Partnership Manager:     Valarie Crockett

    The Family Partnership Manager promotes the importance of the Family

    Partnership program to leaders, encourages support from all girl and adult

    members, and conducts training on the program.

 

    Treasurer:   Brenda Lyons

    The Treasurer maintains and monitors the SU accounts and is an authorized signer

    on troop accounts.  She provides accurate reporting of SU funds and activity.

 

   Juliette Coordinator:   Alison McHenry

   The Juliette Coordinator is the contact between the SU and independently registered    

   Girl Scouts.  She keeps them informed of events and program opportunities, and

   assists them in successfully participating in the Girl Scout program.

 

   Training Coordinator:   Valarie Crockett

   The Training Coordinator promotes training opportunities for adult volunteers,

   helps leaders obtain necessary trainings, and assesses the need for additional training.

 

    Events Coordinator:     Maddie Steffens

    The Events Coordinator organizes events held in the Service Unit. 

 

    Community Development Manager:   Pat Bjorke 

 

    Wiki/Website Manager:   Pat Bjorke
